Request for Academic Records, Credit Certificates and Syllabi

Academic Records / Credit Certificates:

  • Students will receive a free copy of their Academic Record with their degree/ diploma certificates at graduation.

  • Academic records/Credit certificates can be obtained from the Student Records Office at a cost of R65(Academic Record) and R65 (Credit Certificate) per copy. 

  • Payment must be made at the University Finance Division Cashiers Office or via direct deposit into the University's bank account (refer to request form below for bank details).

  • Proof of payment must be faxed or handed to the Student Records Office prior to the record being issued.

  • Academic Records on the ITS system are issued on the day it is requested. Records which have to be typed manually from archived master cards are issued within 48 hours. 
  • A student card or Identity document would be required for collection of records.
  • Parents have no inherent right to a students academic record. Records maybe released to parents under the following:
    • Through the written consent of the student and
    • In compliance with a subpoena.
       
  • A record cannot be issued to a student who has financial indebtedness to the institution.  
  • Records are not issued to currently registered students who have written exams until official examination results are released for that session.

Syllabuses:

  • The cost for the production of a syllabus is R350. It takes approximately 20 working days to process. 
  • Payment must be made at the University Finance Division Cashiers Office or via direct deposit into the University's bank account (refer to request form below for bank details).

  • Proof of payment must be faxed or handed to the Student Records Office prior to the syllabus being processed.
